Family Flöz reaches daylight
'Familie Flöz' emerges into daylight in January 1996
for the first time. Through a deep shaft they come out of the darkness in a shut
down coal-mine in Bochum, Germany. A group of Folkwang-University Essen
graduates further developed an art form, which has become rare:
Theatre with masks. 'Familiy Flöz' is much talked of in the German theatre
and comedy community and inspires through an exquisite mixture of artistic,
music, magic, clown- and mask theatre.
At various festivals a hit, Family Flöz got great reviews and diverse awards:
Preis des Festivals „Theaterzwang 96“ NRW,
1. Preis Internationales Gauklerfestival Koblenz.
After festivals in Freiburg, Magdeburg, Zürich, Rastatt, Köln, Stuttgart,
Saarbrücken, Braunschweig, München and others.
Flöz began touring in Europe. In four years „Family Flöz“ was presented in Austria,
Switzerland, Slovakia, France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, China und Italy.
